We were proud to be part of Love Your Home and Garden with Alan Titchmarsh, where we designed and built a bespoke garden room for the Seesurrun family. Their son Aryan requires full-time care, and our garden room gave his mum, Manisha, a peaceful space to return to her design work.

If you are looking for an outside garden room or annexe look no further. You will not find a better company and customer experience. We’d been planning to build an extension or separate living area for my in-laws to live with us for a while, but didn’t really know what we were looking for. We contacted several ‘garden room’ companies and explored a hard build too. Out of everyone we contacted and spoke to Brian from the Green Room was the only person who very quickly agreed for a visit to discuss all the options and possibilities. We didn’t really know where to start with the whole process but Brian was completely transparent and helped us consider everything that we needed for fully accessible living.
We looked for more quotes and whilst the Green Room were not the cheapest no other company gave us the guidance and advice that Brian did. We felt in very safe hands right from the start.
We went through several design iterations until we were happy, Brian’s attention to detail when designing was incredible. We spent the summer clearing the site and team started work. It took 5 weeks and the end result is utterly amazing! Ben, Brandon and John were fantastic. Friendly, highly skilled and very efficient. The plasterers, electricians and plumbers were also exceptional!
The whole process just exceeded our expectations. We decorated it ourselves and my in-laws are now in and settled for Christmas.
Brian kept us updated regularly, managed all the deliveries, skip hire etc. You literally dont need to do a thing, except make a few coffees! Communication with Brian has still continued, with him checking in to make sure all is ok. We decided to add some grip strips to the decking ramp, add some handles to the outside and make an adjustment to some guttering. Within in a week Ben had ‘popped’ back to fit it all.
Don’t bother looking else where! You won’t be disappointed.

We would like to thank Brian and his amazing team for all of their hard work and dedication to build our 91 year old Dads 2 bedroom garden lodge. This was built at the bottom of our garden so that Dad can still have his independence but be close by in case he needs us. It’s such a fantastic idea and keeps family together.
The workmanship external and internal was top speck and only took 6 weeks from start to finish. The team were professional throughout the build and most importantly very friendly. Brian kept us well informed and the whole process was completely streamlined.

Before we choose the Green Room we looked at other companies before finally settling with the Green Room, Having arrange a personnel meeting with Brian to discuss our needs he came up with a design which after a few different changes was finally agreed. Brian explained the process for applying for a LDC through the local government which was probably the most stressful part of the process. Once this was approved the whole process was relatively smooth. Sitting down again with Brian to decide on the external Cladding window colours floor kitchen u colour and worktop. A date was agreed and Ben and Adam attended site and started with foundations ready for the piling screws to be inserted. Once these had been inserted the next part of the team attended site to start fitting the floor walls and roof. Ben Adam Jon and Brandon started and it was amazing how quickly the team worked laying the floor walls and Roof making the unit water tight. The materials seemed to arrive just as required with the doors and windows being fitted. Jon and Brendon and the team moved inside the start with the internal installation and plaster boarding before the plasters arrived to start plastering the walls and ceiling. While this was happening the team moved again on the outside placing the chosen cladding. Before the team started on the flooring, kitchen and wardrobes. The bespoke kitchen and wardrobes looked amazing Jon and Brandon were true crafts man who took pride in their work. As the building started to take shape we called Brian to request some changes to some of the locations for the sockets which was not a problem.
The equipment and appliances for the annexe were first class and quality stuff from the bespoke kitchen to the appliances, to the Mira Shower unit under floor heating and radiators to the bedroom furniture.
The team were spot on and could not fault them what we liked was the whole turn key process and what was included with the price with no surprises at the end. Brian was only a call away if there was a question that need to be answered as well as the team for daily updates.
Would I recommend the Green Room is a simple 100% yes . We now have an amazing annexe within our garden.

So we had a look around at various companies before choosing the green room to build our 1 bedroom annex for my mum.
Brian came and discussed everything with us. Explained the process and showed us options we could choose for flooring etc.. once we got the quote we gave the go ahead. They sorted all the planning and made sure it was exactly what we needed. Once planning came through it was all booked in and then work began. John, Ben and Brandon got on with the job. Sorted any problems out quickly with out fuss (had to build the annex the otherside of the garden due a to gas pipe being found where it was meant to go). They were professional polite, friendly and knowledgeable(as were the electricians and plumber). Explained everything they were doing. And everything was done to a very high standard. So thankyou again guys a brilliant job. Will definitely be recommending you to others .

The whole team at The Green Room were fantastic throughout the entire process. From the initial design ideas and discussions, through to choices around colour, flooring, lighting, windows/doors and heating options – nothing was too much trouble for them. Brian in particular was really focused on ensuring that we had all the options and information available so that we could make exactly the right decisions so that our new Garden Room would be just perfect!
I had looked around at some other suppliers and had planned a certain budget and timeline for the project to be completed, however I was pleasantly surprised just how competitive The Green Room were while still delivering a product of such high quality and ahead of schedule !! Yes. Just like our annexes, our lodges are manufactured with SIPs panels for excellent thermal performance. They’re warm, quiet and energy efficient all year round.
Yes. We include trenching and connection to mains water, foul drainage and electricity. If a pump or additional works are needed, we’ll advise you clearly before we start.
Yes. Once we’ve visited your site and agreed on a layout, we’ll provide a full written quote. This will be a fixed price for the full project.
Yes, our granny annexes are built for full-time living. They are insulated, connected to mains utilities, and comply with building regulations. They include a bathroom, kitchen, living space and sleeping area, just like a small home.
Absolutely. All granny annexes come with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom as standard. Garden rooms can also include these features if needed.
If a dependent relative lives in the garden annexe, you are usually exempt from council tax. Rules can vary slightly depending on your local council, but we can help guide you.
In most cases, yes. If someone is going to sleep in the building, you’ll need planning permission. We’ll take care of the whole process for you. From design to application, our team handles the paperwork and contacts the local authority on your behalf.
Yes. We provide a fully managed service. Our team includes groundworkers, builders, electricians, plumbers and plasterers – all coordinated by us so you don’t have to manage a thing.
We don’t offer finance directly, but we can supply a detailed quote that you can take to your mortgage provider or broker. Because our annexes add value to your home, they are often accepted by lenders for equity-based loans.
Yes. We handle all aspects of groundwork including trenching, drainage, electrical connections and screwpile or concrete pad foundations. You won’t need to bring in extra trades.
